Printing on Apple MacOS

By default, Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and later should automatically be aware of all the printers available ; you just need to tell it which one(s) you want to use.

First, open the System Preferences:

Select Printers and Scanners and the following window will appear:

Click on the little plus sign on the left and choose a printer.

Click on the little plus sign on the left. Then click on IP to type the printer name. Choose 'AirPrint' as protocol.

If your operating system is older than 10.12. use 'HP Jetdirect - Socket' as protocol please.

Potsdam-Golm and Hannover:

Click Add. For most printers OSX will now automatically download a driver for the printer and it will just work.
