Run the setup wizard (file you downloaded) to install the eduroam profile with <USERNAME>@aei.mpg.de
Use your AEI computer account USERNAME with @aei.mpg.de appended to it
(e.g. bobsmith@aei.mpg.de) and your AEI computer password.
Manual configuration (alternative)
Open the Control Panel and navigate to the Network and Sharing Center. On the left side you have to go to 'Manage wireless network'.
Click on 'Add and manually create a network profile'. As Networkname set 'eduroam' and as Security type 'WPA2-Enterprise'.
Then you will have to change the connection settings.
Navigate to security and click on the settings for PEAP. Check "Validate server certificate" and choose the "Deutsche Telekom Root CA 2" and as Server enter "radius.aei.mpg.de"
Click on Configure and uncheck the box.
Now go back to the security tab and click on Advanced settings. Check the "Specify authentication method"
Now you can close the configuration. Every time you log into the network you will be prompted for your username and password. After entering it you can connect to the network and internet.
As username you have to enter 'username@aei.mpg.de'
